Pasting Codes in Your Blog

For those on the classic template version of the blogger.com blog, follow this link http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=964 for clear and easy steps to insert google adsense in your blog.


For those on the new version of the blogger.com blog, there are two methods of displaying ads on your blog. This is as a result of the features on the new version's template which includes the "add and arrange page element" option.



Method .1

This method accomodates only google adsense.

(a) Click on "layout" in the manage your blog box on your dashboard, the page element section of the template will appear displaying all the parts of your blog's page.

(b) In that blog page layout, click the "add a page element" box. A small window will appear showing different options for installation.

(c) Click on adsense in the options. steps will be given you there, follow them as it concerns your status. when you get the ad codes, click "save" button.
The new page element will be included in your page layout.

(d) Click preview to see if you like the position of the ad on your blog. if you do, go back and click save on the layout page. If you don't, you can to click on the new page which will by now be indicated as adsense box on your page layout and drag it to any part on the page either above or

(e) below your "blog archive" or "about me' box and click save.
click view to see its new position. If you want to make amends to the position again, click and drag to any position of your choice. If you need to change the type of ad, click on "pick new template" in the same menu list under the template tab, and re-click on "page element" in the same menu list.Then click on "edit " in the new page element box you've added. When the page opens, clear the codes in the box and add the codes for the new type of ad you've selected and click save. Preview to see the new ad.

If you want ad to show under your post. click the "add a page element" box under the blog post in your page layout, and then follow the steps mentioned above.



Method .2

This method can accomodate any type of ad including google adsense.

Follow steps (a) and (b) above, then:

(c) click on HTML/Java in the options, the page will reload to display a layout with title and content, and like "remove page element", "clear edit" and "save".

(d) go to your google adsense account, copy the ad codes, and paste them into the content part of the page layout, and click the "save" option below it. The small window will close and become included in your blog's page layout. preview to see it's position on the page. if you want re-arrange it's position, just click and drag the new page element as described in method.1 above.

(e) If you wish to include other adverts or referral links, go to the site you wish to advertise, get the codes for the type of adverts you wish to display on your blog and paste them into the content part of the HTML/java box as described above. Then click save. You can now re-arrange it to any part of the page as you prefer on the page layout. click "preview" or "view blog" to see how your blog page looks, and then click save.


After the above steps, your blog page is now ready with ads.

Creating and Monetizing a Blog; a step by step guide

(1). To create a free blog,
go to any of the following sites;
www.blogger.com
www.reallifelog.com
www.sulekha.com
or use the google search bar on this page to search for "free blog" on the internet.

(2). To publish an article on your blog,
write(or copy and paste your already written) article of your choice or of interest to
your readers and click 'publish' or 'send' on your blog's compose panel,
or
collect(copy) an article of your choice or of interest to your readers from any of the
following sites;
www.articlejoint.com
www.ideasmarketing.com
www.ezinearticles.com
or use the google search bar on this page to search for 'free article submission sites' on
the internet.

NOTE; Remember to give full credit of the article to the author by including the author's name, the author's link and the article's source.Its always better this way if you made no amendments to it.

(3). To create an account with google,
go to google-adsense(check for link to google adsense on this page) , fill in the required info.
For the URL, fill in your blog's URL. For product info, fill in for content and search. Within
48hrs, google will approved your account( after manually scrutinizing your blog) and then
give you steps to generate codes that you will be asked to paste on your blog which will
allow google ads display on your blog.

(4). Visit your blog,
go to your blog to see that it is ready with relevant google ads showing on it. Sometimes
it might take about 48hrs before ads start showing on the blog.

NOTE; Do not click on the ads yourself as this amounts to cheating and google will close your account for it.

(5). To drive traffic to your blog,
(a). register with several online & offline forums where you can discuss the topic
and relative topics, and then drop your blog's link in your discussions. Make sure
you participate with vital contributions and not just droping links.

(b). write articles of relative topic and include a link to your blog in them, and submit the
articles to free article submission spots on the internet. Use the google search tool on
this page to find some article submssion sites on the internet.

(c). submit your blog's URL for SEO(search engine optimization)

(d). send your blog's url( or link to your blog) to friends interested in your blog's
topics. Anyone who follows the link and gets to your blog might click on the google ads
placed on your blog. If this happens, google pays you a certain amoun

(6). Relax and earn your money,
just relax and expect your paycheck. Google will send you a paycheck if the money you
earn adds up to a certain amount.
